Dear Greyson,

Mommy is so sorry about taking you to that mean lady who stuck those pointy things in your legs. I tried to punch her but she ran out when you started screaming. I think you scared her out....way to go son! She says that those pointy things are something you had to have now that you're 1 year old. Mommy still can't believe that! Right now, you're in your crib and you have a bandaid on each leg. They sure are colorful! I just wanted to let you know I am so sorry you have to go through that.

For those of you still reading....LOL, Greyson had 1 year check up he is proportioned perfect and weighs 23 lbs and 11 oz. She said he is tall but not taller than normal measuring in at 29 and 3/4 inches long. That was nice to hear considering his Dad is only 4'2...JUST KIDDING! He's 5'6. That's much better, jk.

If they can't handle it, we deserve a raise!

HARTY HAR HAR!!!!

Today....

was such a good day for us as a family. We didn't even go anywhere. Carlos and I cleaned the house and BBQ'ed early. Carlos played with Greyson so much today. He was down on the floor acting like a 1 year old with Greyson, LOL. He was showing Greyson how to do flips and when Greyson was crawling, Carlos was over the top of him on all fours crawling with him. At one time Carlos even had a paci in his mouth acting like Greyson. So, I snapped a couple pictures, I know I don't usually do that. It was an eye opener though. I am thankful for my life and I feel very blessed to be me. I loved watching my husband have so much fun with our son, acting goofy and giving tons of hugs and kisses. God is amazing.

Just waiting for baby..

Carlos and I went to our friend Julie's co-ed baby shower yesterday! It was really fun. Anyway, I was in awe over her nursery. I thought I'd share it with you guys. My poor Greyson's nursery was so boring, LOL. They don't know what they are having yet. She is 37 weeks today, and her letters spell out their last name.

Mommy can hardly believe that you are turning a year old already. It was just yesterday when they laid you in my arms for the first time and you were the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. This has been such a fun year and you've learned so much just in the last month. Every day you amaze me with something new. You're saying Bye, uh-oh, Momma, shaking your head no, and are so close to walking. I took you to get your pictures taken today and you were such a good boy as usual. I look at the pictures and it makes Mommy want to cry because she can't believe God blessed her with such a beautiful little boy. I hope your birthday is so wonderful. Nothing will ever compare to you.

Where you at?

OK, so I was wondering how many people actually look at my blog, so I put a counter on here for a few days. By the way I took it off last night. I had like 166 hits on my page and no comments. Why doesn't anyone ever comment? I don't get it? Sometimes I feel like I am just talking to myself. I wish people would start talking.

On to a different, important subject..haha, Greyson is getting his 1 year pictures taken today! I hope they turn out good like the 1st ones did. He is so unsure about people that he's never seen. I just know he's going to spend half of the time just staring people down. Hopefully not the whole time...OMGosh. I can just see it now. We're going back to the place that did these pictures, Portrait Innovations. I love that place.

And another one!!

Greyson's sitter had a birthday party for him yesterday. Well, I brought everything and she had the party. But, I thought it was cute. It was no biggy. I got to be there for a couple hours but then I had to leave for work.

Greyson LOVES Mickey Mouse more than anything else, so she bought some stickers and decorated his face and highchair with them. I came back to pick him up about 5 hours later and he still had them on his face. The kids colored Mickey Mouse pages for him. I thought that was adorable! I just love birthdays!

Remember that from the movie GREASE? I love that movie! Anyway, we dug out the toothbrush we had waiting for Greyson! Aunt Tam sent it to us when he was like 2 weeks old. It's been sitting in the medicine cabinet this whole time.

When I stuck it in his mouth he laughed. Don't know why, but he did. He has such a funny personality. I wonder where he gets it from? I waited so long for him to laugh and now he does it so much. I love to listen to it. It will never get old.

Back to the toothbrush, it's his Tom-Mater toothbrush from the movie CARS. Here are some pictures of him brushing his own teeth and also a video of him with it!
