Today I had another great anatomy scan where they looked at the chambers of the heart, kidneys, bladder etc. Everything looked as it should, thank you God. His heart rate was 147 he is so precious. They said he is weighing about 1 lb 5 oz. Awwwwwwww I can't wait to kiss his cheeks!

This morning at about 1:30 my sweet Grandma went to be with Jesus. I drove as fast as I could hoping to be there in time but I guess she wanted to do it alone. We had all been there with her all day. She just waited for us to go home. I love you Grandma, you'll always be precious to all of us! No one will ever read the story "Twas the Night Before Christmas" as cute as you every Christmas Eve.

Anatomy scan

This morning mom and I went to my anatomy scan for baby boy. I am always a little nervous when it comes to ultrasounds for some reason. It was a great appointment. Little man was moving around a lot and his heart rate was 142. I remember when it was in the 160's in the beginning and I thought for sure it was a girl... LOL. Yeah that's definitely not true. We got a 3rd confirmation that it is most def a boy. I feel so blessed and lucky to be having another baby and more thrilled that it's a little brother for Greyson. We haven't decided on a name yet which is funny because as soon as we knew what Greyson was he had a name. We just can't agree on one this time. I will have to go back in 4 weeks so he can do another scan because he couldn't see the heart as good as he wants to. But when I asked if what he did see so far looked OK, he said yes all is good! So, thank you God!

This is usually one of my favorite things to eat. It's chiles pablanos from El Mariachi on Zumbehl. I couldn't wait to get home and eat it, I was so hungry. Well I got through about 4 bites and my stomach started turning. I can't believe how much different this pregnancy is from when I was pregnant with Greyson. TOTALLY DIFFERENT! I should just stay away from El Mariachi because this is the second time we have gotten food from there and my body wasn't happy. Last time I barely made it out of the parking lot before I found a bag in my car to get sick on. NO MORE MEXICAN FOR ME.....I guess that means Carlos needs to go too.... : )

A Surprise Ultrasound Today

I was not expecting and ultrasound at all. I thought I was just going in for a 4 week check. I got to see the baby really good today and it was the best feeling EVER! Heart rate was 167 and lil pee wee would barely sit still. I saw him/her do a flip and wave to me all at the same time. AWWWWW, BABY! I have an appointment in 3 weeks to find out the gender!!! I am really hoping for a baby girl. This is our last baby and a baby girl would be so great. Of course no matter what this baby will be a huge blessing to us. Thank you God!

Catching You Up

Since I last blogged Carlos went to Mexico to become legal and I am excited to say that he is home again since January 21, 2011. He was gone almost 3 months. So for Halloween, Thanksgiving, my birthday, Christmas and New Years Eve my husband was gone. Now that it's over with I realize how fast it really all went.

Greyson turned 5 August 25th and is in preschool. He won't get to start school until next year due to his birthday falling so late. He is a smart guy and I am happy to keep him home another year. He's growing up too fast anyway.

One more thing I wanted to share is that Greyson is going to be a big brother in April 2012. Today I had an ultrasound done confirming that it is a viable pregnancy and the heartbeat was a whopping 176!!! GOD IS SO GOOD! My husband is home and legal and we have another 2 feet entering our family next year!!!

Carlos left Mexico when he was 14 because his Dad was an alcoholic and abused him. He pulled Carlos out of school at the age of 12 to work for the family. His uncle knew what was going on and asked him if he wanted to come to the US. So he came here illegally. I met him in 1998 and moved in with him 6 months later. At that time I didn't know he wasn't legal. I just knew I loved him. We married 4 years later and now have been married 8 years. A lot of people think once you're married, they become legal. Well that's not the case, I wish. For the past 4 years we have been working with an immigration attorney to make him legal. I guess I never thought he would ever have to actually leave. We were told he would, but hoped things would change with the laws and he would be able to become legal while he was here. After filing tons of paperwork and paying a lot of money the day has come for Carlos to go back to Mexico to become legal. He has an interview at the Mexican embassy on October 29th at 11:15. He will have to go to 2 interviews. Only after the first one can he schedule the 2nd one. That is where 2-6 months comes from. It takes a while to get the appointment. The first interview they will make him take a blood test and prove he's not on drugs or been in any trouble here in the US. The 2nd interview is when Carlos will get to introduce his life here with us. Then he will show pictures of our lives together dating back to 1998. Each one had to be dictated by me as to what was going on in the picture and the year. We had to get together letters from people in my family, our counselor and others saying how they knew Carlos and saying why they think he needs to be here. I also had to write one. You can imagine how emotional I got while typing that up. I have so many people asking why he has to go back to Mexico. Ever since 9-11, becoming legal here is much harder. It's a good thing, but not for us. It has been very tough going through this. I would never wish this pain on anyone. I love my husband so very much. He cares so much for me and Greyson.

Right now I just need strength and prayer, tons of it. I have never been alone, and Carlos has never been back to Mexico since he was 14. The only thing he is excited about is seeing his Mom for the 1st time in 16 years. Other than that he is scared to go back because it is so dangerous there. There was no way of getting around him going back. It's just the way it has to be. I am mostly sad about him not getting to kiss his son goodnight every night or just tell him I love you face to face. I know my husband will be back and our lives together will be much better and more complete, but getting there sucks.

I wanted to blog about this because I have tons of people asking me WHY? I hope this will help you to understand. It's just the way it has to be. I wish it were different and easier.

I want to thank every one of my friends for being here for me through prayer and sharing all your kind words. I love you all and you will never know much I need you right now.

When Carlos comes home we are going to have a HUGE celebration! I will make sure to keep everyone posted.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words: Dear God, Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her.. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her. Love, Meredith We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it... Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had. Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand.. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies..' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey &Meredith and this note: Dear Meredith, Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart.. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find, I am wherever there is love. Love, God

Welcome Home Gracie

I have been thinking about adopting another dog for about a month now. It's been 7 months now since Fido went to Heaven and I just felt it was time to give Minnie another friend. I wanted to take in a dog that wasn't a puppy and maybe had it rough so I could give it a great life. I came across Gracie's puppies on STLtoday.com yesterday. They were super adorable and going for $250. When I called the owner she mentioned that the mommy of the pups needed a new home also. She had given her away to a friend and Gracie got pregnant, so the friend gave her back. The owner couldn't keep her because she had an autistic son that was stressing Gracie. When I saw Gracie and held her for the first time, I knew I wanted her and not one of the pups. She just looked so relieved and limp in my arms, licking on my face. I knew it was right that she come to our home so she can be a spoiled dog like she needs to be. I am taking her to the vet for the first time in who knows how long. She'll be examined today and get her shots. Then we'll make arrangements to get her fixed so she doesn't have to have anymore pups. I feel really good about my decision to make Gracie a part of out household. She loves Greyson and he can't believe she will actually sit in his car seat on his lap with him. Minnie would NEVER do that.. haha.

Tried another great recipe tonight......

Ingredients
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails intact
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
4 plum tomatoes, chopped
2 bunches scallions, chopped
3 cups cooked white rice
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Directions
Heat the butter, olive oil and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the Cajun seasoning and shrimp and cook, stirring, until the shrimp begin to curl, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.

Add the tomatoes and scallions to the skillet and cook, stirring, about 1 minute. Add the rice and 1/4 cup water and continue to cook until the rice is warmed through and the shrimp are opaque, about 3 more minutes. Stir in the parsley and serve with lemon, if desired.

OK, so I'm at work thinking about what to do for dinner. I decided to google some easy meals. I came across this great blog and decided to try the first meal on there. It's called Crunchy Baked Tilapia and it couldn't have been any easier. I took a picture of how mine looked and also copied the ingredients and directions. My hubby must of LOVED it too, he went back for seconds.

Ingredients:
3 fillets of Tilapia
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter, cut into small slices
3/4 tsp garlic salt
Freshly ground pepper
dried parsley
1 fresh lemon or 2 TBSP lemon juice
12 Ritz crackers, crushed (I used whole wheat.)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Spray baking dish with nonstick spray. (I usually use a 9x13 glass baking dish for this recipe.) Drizzle each fillet with olive oil.

Sprinkle each fillet with 1/4 tsp garlic salt and freshly ground pepper. Sprinkle parsley on top of each fillet and then top with crushed Ritz crackers. I used 4 crackers per fillet. Squeeze lemon over fish or drizzle lemon juice over top. Top with butter dabs and place in preheated oven.

Bake for 12 minutes at 375 degrees, or until fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork

We made it home safe from North Carolina. Something we were looking forward to so much, came and went too fast! Greyson absolutely LOVED his first airplane ride, all went smoothly. We got to see the Army base that JD works at. I was impressed with all the humongous airplanes, oh yeah and the hot military men every where you look. I couldn't believe how many there were. I have been clueless about military life.

The best part about our trip was going to Carolina Beach, what a beautiful place! Our kids had a blast. Rachel let me sit on the beach alone the morning we left and I really enjoyed it. I spent some time with God that morning, just praising Him and thanking Him. What a gorgeous place to be. Our weather was perfect, not too hot or cool. I hope we can do this again some day!

Thanks so much Rachel and JD for opening up your home to us and letting us share it with you for a week. We really enjoyed the time we spent with you guys.

One of my closest friends had her precious baby girl last week after having 3 boys, she finally got her baby girl. You can only imagine how much pink she has at her house finally getting the little girl she's always wanted. She weighed 6 lbs 15 oz, 19 1/2 inches long. She's nothing short of BEAUTIFUL! Today Greyson and I went and saw her for the first time. She was breath taking and Greyson was so gentle with her. Angie showed him her baby feet and never should have, he wouldn't stop asking her to unzip her sleeper. Here are some pictures of the little princess.

Branson, MO

I am blessed with a really awesome friend named Angie. We grew up together and her parents have an amazing cabin in Branson, MO that they let people stay at for nothing at all. You almost feel guilty for not paying anything for it because it should be about $300 a night, haha. Carlos, Greyson and I reserved it for last weekend. I drove down not knowing what to expect not ever being there or seeing any pics or anything. As soon as we pulled up to the house Carlos and I were in awe. Immediately I got my camera out and started snapping pictures to make people jealous, I mean to share with everyone. We got there Friday night about 6pm and grilled some burgers and pretty much just lounged around. Carlos fell asleep on the couch watching Greyson's cartoons and me and Greyson went downstairs. There was a playroom for kids with tons of toys and a living room where I layed on the couch and read a magazine. I could tell right there it was gonna be a nice little trip. Greyson was a little uneasy about being down in the playroom. I think he thought I was gonna leave him down there and go back upstairs. Out of the corner of my eye I could see him keep raising up to see if I was still on the couch. Every time he saw me, he'd say, "Love you Mom." It was so cute.

Saturday morning we woke up early and went to Hwy 76, the Branson strip, and ate breakfast at Shoney's. After breakfast we went to a strip mall and did a little shopping. I got the cutest purse! Around noon we decided to Ride the Ducks. What a fun time that was! Greyson drove the boat, he thought he was hot stuff. When we got done with that we went to the Kirby VanBurch magic show, or as Greyson calls him Crabby BanBurch...and he's serious. Greyson had his head buried in my chest most of the show. I guess it was a mixture of the theatre being dark, loud music and girls getting cut in half that did it. Around 7 we went back to the cabin and grilled again then chilled on the couch again. Sunday morning we cleaned the place up and left to go home. We hope to get to go back again some day. I am willing to pay for it..no kidding. Oh yeah all these pictures were taken with my cell phone. I charged my battery for my digital camera all week only to forget the SD card in my laptop at home. SO NOT SURPRISED.

I am so excited and scared all at the same time that Greyson will be flying for the first time in a few days. We are going to North Carolina to visit some friends. It's coming up so fast and I have nothing ready. I can't find my camera, don't make me go buy a new one..haha. The forecast is showing thunderstorms every single day we are there, but I am past being sad about that. I am just excited about the trip and feel blessed to be able to go. I can't wait to see Greyson's face just seeing the airplane. I have been told to make sure he's chewing bubble gum for his ears. When I was a kid I hated that about flying. Mom and I used to go to Chicago a lot to visit some friends. I will be sure to post about it when we get back from our trip.

Vienna Sausage. OK I can't believe I am even blogging about this. But, really? This girl is a total quack. I really like Tenley. She has been married before and I can tell that scares him. She is such a real (or seems to be) one there, and she's adorable too! Cory is still a virgin (so she says) and is saving herself for marriage. I think that's great if it's true. I have a hard time believing anyone on these kinds of shows are being 100% themselves, after all it is a competition in the end. So, as of tonight I am hoping he picks Tenley.

The movie Avatar that is. I hadn't even seen any of the previews. Someone told me about a site I could watch a bootleg copy of it and I thought I'd just watch minute or two of it to see what all the hype was about. So, after about an hour of watching it I realized I had to go see it on the big screen. I called my Mom and sister Tami and neither one of them had any desire to see it. After about 10 minutes of begging they both agreed to come with me to see Avatar at the movies. After seeing the movie I guarantee they would go back to see it a 2ND time now, haha. Once you put those 3D glasses on it's a whole new world with this movie. A lot of people don't like Science fiction movies, I am one of them. This isn't what I expected at all. The coloring in the movie is amazing, along with the story and the music. This is a movie I will own. All though I know it will never be the same as seeing in the movies and having stuff fly at your face. Mom and I were dodging things and laughing out loud because we were embarrassed. We had to have looked so silly. Trust me, you will love this movie. I don't know how anyone couldn't, it's that AWESOME!

Tonight I had to put my baby boy Fido down. He was an old lil guy, normally weighing about 9 pounds today he was only 5. I knew he was nearing the end of his days as he's been having seizures daily and could barely walk, not even to go potty outside. I took him to the vet only to find out he was going through heart failure and the doctor felt with his quality of life he should go to doggie Heaven. This was so much tougher to go through then I ever imagined it would be. My mom met me there to support me as I watched him slowly fall asleep. Fido was a really awesome dog for so many years of my life, since age 19. Today I am 34, and sometimes it felt he would be with me forever. I will miss Fido so much but I know he is so much happier where he is. I will see you again someday Fido. I love you buddy!

Lately

Things have been hard for our family. Last Wednesday I got a call that my sister Cher fell down the stairs at home so I met them at the hospital. She broke both of her wrists and really hurt her face pretty good. They did her reconstructive surgery the next day at around 2:30 in the afternoon. Seeing her in so much pain was heart wrenching. Today she is feeling some better and tomorrow she will be going to a skilled nursing facility because she can't really do anything for herself. I took a picture of her with my cell phone, so it isn't the best quality. The best thing for her is prayer and there is tons out there for her right now. That is what is carrying her through! Thank you all!

On to a more chipper note, I got this crazy hair and decided to see if Portrait Innovations had any appointments open yesterday. Luckily they did, so I took Greyson for his 3 yr pictures. Mom went with us and I think I bought more because she went..haha but I love them all. He had the photographer laughing at him so many times. We were the last appointment and she was having so much fun with him, she didn't care how long we were there.

I have been a very bad blogger the past couple months. I get like that. So many things have happened since I last blogged. We moved back to St. Peters, YAY! I am really happy about that because it means 60 less miles on both of our cars daily and not to mention I got some of my sanity back from not sitting in so much traffic. Rachel- I am sorry you will not get your daily St. Louis traffic report, but I had to...haha.

Rachel and JD Huse have finally gotten pregnant after trying for a very long time. I am thrilled to announce that! Most of my blog readers probably know them. So, if you're a prayer, please add them to your prayers for a healthy 9 mos. I know the baby will be gorgeous no matter what with their looks. Their daughter Lorelai is a doll and very smart!

Last Greyson turned 3 on August 25th! We can't believe he is that old already. Why must it fly by? I love every single day with him and feel blessed to be his mommy. Since his birthday fell on a weekday I called a great friend, Angie McCarthy, and asked her to join us at Chuck E. Cheese's. We had so much fun! So, thanks Angie, Collin, and Austin for coming and celebrating his birthday with us!

Yesterday I brought him to get a pair of Sketchers he kept saying he wanted on T.V. $50.00 later, he is in Heaven and puts them on and takes them off like 10 times a day.
I sure hope they last a while....

This Saturday we will have his birthday party with my family at the park. I rented a Spongebob cake pan, this should be very interesting.I didn't plan on making the cake but my sister Tami thinks we should......oh my! Then today when Greyson and I checked the mail, there was a surprise from Rachel and Lorelai in there! Rachel made Greyson a shirt and crayon holder! What a sweetie! I love surprises! Here is a picture of him with both of them.

I am going to try to get back on the blogging bandwagon, but I can't make any promises....

Someone Must've Been A Good Boy

Easter was really fun! I loved watching Greyson get excited! This year he looked forward to the Easter Bunny coming. We went to Aunt Tam and Uncle Chris' house yesterday and hunted for eggs. I took tons of pictures of the hunt, but on Tami's camera....darn. So, not sure when I'll get all of those. We BBQ'd chicken and had pea salad, baked beans, green beans with potatoes and lots of sweets. Before we even got there Greyson fell in the yard and got dirt and grass on his pants...arghhhh. This is what he looked like before we walked out the door to go.

We spent the night at their house and I came home to let the dogs outside and the Easter Bunny had left this basket on the counter for Greyson....awww

When he saw it, he couldn't get to it fast enough. I just loved watching his face. So much fun!

He was checking it out big time. He got some race cars, baseball caps, a bunny ink pen, and tons of fattening candy. I say that because you know who will end up eating most of it.

I thought potty training was going to be miserable, but so far I can handle it. We haven't quite gotten the #2 part down completely but almost. Up until the last two nights he has been going in his pull up or undies. I don't know how anyone could ever want to do cloth diapers. I can't stand cleaning his underoos out after he has an accident. That's hard to do, haha. All in all, he has done a really great job and I am very proud of him.

Easter is this Sunday and Greyson will get less that day because he saw his basket in the back of my car. DARNIT! I tried to hide it even. I got him a basket that had a basketball and a soccer ball. He has been stealing the neighbors basketball and bringing in the house. He loves it! Well anyway, I was putting him in his car seat and he says, "Mom, is that my basketball?" I was like oh crap. I told him that he would get it if he was a good little boy and that the Easter bunny was watching him. That lasted all of 10 minutes and Daddy came home, we gave in. Carlos was like, "He doesn't know the difference between today and Sunday." Sooooooo, he played all night with his basketball in the living room.

Anyway, that's all the boring news I have for now. Have a fantastic Easter! Remember what the day is all about.

It's time to start potty training Greyson. The thought has me exhausted already. I know it's time though. He has been wanting to take his diaper off every time he potties even one time in his diaper. Tonight we went to Walmart and bought him his very first pack of underoos!!! They are Thomas the Train, of course. He was so excited to have them on tonight. He wore them a total of about 2 hours and didn't potty in them once. In fact he used the bathroom like a big boy. He is really good about going to the bathroom on the toilet. He just hasn't learned to let us know when it's time to go to the bathroom. Usually he will come and get us after he has done his duty in the diaper already. So, wish us luck!

Also, we have finally gotten our bed back! He has been sleeping in his own bed now for about 2 weeks!!! YAY! I am sleeping much better!

It was really neat. I was looking out my kitchen window and noticed a huge, beautiful rainbow so I took Greyson outside to see it. He loved it. He has a Thomas the Train DVD where Thomas tries to find the end of a rainbow, so he knew exactly what it was. We came inside and he said, "Daddy, a rainbow, it's awesome!" I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. Poop is on my last nerve

I have had it with Greyson's poop. The last couple days Greyson laughs when I wipe his poopy butt. It must be tickling him. So, that's made it really hard for me because he picking his butt up and laughing hysterically when I touch his butt with a wet wipe. Well today he says, "I'm poopin Mommy." Well about 10 seconds later I see him digging in his diaper. He has poop all over his finger...gross. So, I change him and does it again. So round two, we've changed another one and washed our hands. Free from poop now. Carlos gets home and gets in the shower. He comes out and says, "Alicia, come look at this hurry." So I run in the bedroom. He has Carlos boots on. We're laughing and smiling at him. I look closer and Greyson has poop all over his leg. I get him out of these huge shoes and he has it all over his fingers, back of leg and all over his heel and foot. Then I handed Carlos his boot. It had poop in it...stinky! How do you get rid of that smell? So that's my night. Sounds fun huh. All of this reminds me of how perfect he is when he's sleeping. Awww.

My sister Tami had a full hysterectomy and a hernia repair today. She is in a lot of pain and I am asking for lots of prayers so she will feel better fast. Something you won't see Tami do is cry, and tonight Tami cried. She was hurting so bad. I don't like seeing my sister like that. She is usually THE ROCK. She put this surgery off as long as she could. I am so glad it's over with. I just pray that these next few weeks she will feel better than expected and feel like herself quickly. I was checking my emails and I was thinking he was being so quiet for too long. I went to check on him and this is what he was doing.....loading up his crib. I guess he figures if it's too full with stuff he won't be able to sleep in it. If you look close enough you'll see he even went as far as putting a quarter on his blue coat. He emptied his whole bottom drawer of clothes and threw a few toys in there with it.

Oh yeah, I put the side back on. Last night I let him cry it out in his room for almost an hour. I was so crushed by his sweet little "Mommy, I wanna hold you's" I went and got him and he slept with us. Tonight he has been in there for about 20 minutes whining. He stops and then starts back up. He used to do so good with just going right to sleep when I put him in his bed, but Carlos spoiled that in the summer when he'd come home late from work and miss Greyson. He started letting him come to bed with him so he could snuggle with him. But, it's become a habit and he doesn't sleep next to Carlos, he has to sleep practically ON ME. I am not sleeping good at night because of this. Carlos is just snoring away.......BTW, he's still crying and now he's saying he has a "nucky" nose (yucky).......hahaha...my, my, my....

well he does but I took the side off of it. We have been talking about buying him a toddler bed. The only reason we haven't is because he hasn't tried to climb out of his crib once, never, zip, zero, none. So, we felt like it wasn't hurting to keep him in there. Tonight he was trying to put his doll in there so he could put the doll to sleep, like any other good Daddy would do, right? Anyway, it was too high because of the rails. I decided to take it off and voile look what we have here, a toddler bed. He loves it. His sheets were in the washer when I took these pictures. But, he keeps saying "Look at my big boy bed!" What will we be in for tonight??? I hope to get to take some pictures of him sleeping in it in the morning, that's if he doesn't end up in our bed. That's a whole other story....

The thought of staying home on New Years eve before I had my son was not really something I wanted to do. We used to love to go to the expensive events, drinks included in the price, all you can eat. But this year we are gonna have some people over and get drunk in the comfort of our own home. I'm sure there will be some shots thrown down, like tequila or something we'll regret the next day. But the thought of being safe at home is nice. I'll be sure to take pictures, of course. Greyson was supposed to go to Grammy's house, but Aunt Tam won't let him. She wants him to be here with us. Hmmmm, babysitter or not? OK, fine, Tami wins. Guess who's gonna be keeping an eye on him then? I could've had a sitter, oh well. I can't believe it's almost 2009. So much has happened this year. I bought another new car,which already has 23,000 miles on it, got pregnant but lost it, my beautiful baby boy turned 2 yrs old, my dog turned 14, yes I said 14, Cher's dog passed away after 13 yrs of being her baby, Mom got a great paying job that she loves, and finally, Greyson learned the words, bullshit, ass and asshole. I was only joking when I called Daddy an asshole, I swear.
All of that aside, I am glad and sad that the year is over. It's great to have a fresh start, but then on the other hand my baby is gonna be 3 already. It is going too fast. I love every day I have with him. He makes me a better person. I am excited to see the way he will change this year. I'm sure it will be eventful, but hopefully in a good way!

I hope your Christmas was wonderful. Ours was for sure. Greyson really got into opening the presents this year. It made it so much more fun! He got tons of stuff from everyone and Santa!!Every time he takes a nap now, he wakes up and says, "OK, Mommy, let's go open presents!" My living room is a disaster. It's slowly shaping back up. I just don't know where to go with all this!
We went to Tami and Chris' house on Christmas eve. There was so much food, little smokies, meatballs, artichoke dip, taco dip, cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats, oysters..yuck, and more. Here is Daddy and Greyson. Below them is a picture of Ryan, my nephew and Sarah, his longtime girlfriend. The third picture is Kylie and Greyson.

Every year the kids gather around Uncle Gary while he reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas." This year I had the idea of Gramma doing it since she's getting older and in a nursing home. It was really special. I think we all had a tear in our eyes.

After that, Greyson started getting really impatient and was READY to open presents! We must have been making him wait way too long. As you can tell he was getting restless laying on the presents and falling off of them...

I only got a couple of pictures of the presents he got at Aunt Tam's house. He got a school bus, a Superman scooter, tons of Thomas the Train tracks and cars, a Mickey Mouse blanket, a Tee Ball set with gloves and lots more.

Then it was time to go home so Santa could come. Watching Greyson's face that morning was priceless. He opened every single present really slow. He' tear little bitty pieces off. You can imagine how long it took to open them all. It was so worth it!!! Santa brought him his first pair of snow boots, that he can barely walk in, bathtub toys, Mr. Potato Head and family, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse CD for the car and much more.

Yesterday, we put his Thomas the Train track together. Daddy and Greyson played trains. I loved watching them.

One last present was Greyson's Hispanic Ashton Drake doll. Yes I said doll. First of all he has a Diego doll and tries to change his diaper and it swallows poor Diego up. Mom bought me this doll and I opened it up yesterday and I decided to give it to Greyson. So mom found some baby clothes she bought for Greyson that he never wore when he was a teeny baby. He was smiling from ear to ear. He won't put this baby down. I was afraid to give my son a baby doll, but seeing how happy it makes him, I don't care. He is in love....aww.

Only one more day for my families Christmas celebration at my sisters! I am getting really excited about it. I am super excited to see Greyson's reaction when he opens all of these presents everyone got him. Of course the ones Santa is bringing him as well. Last night when I got home from doing a little more shopping, even though I said I was done with him, I let him open just one from us. It was a Little Tikes movie and it came with a bonus Cozy Coup car for him to play with. You remember Greyson's car. Well, he calls it his "Wee" Every time he sees one on T.V, in someones yard, he always says, "Look Mommy, my Wee!" When he opened it up he was so excited and screaming! It was hilarious! I wish I would have capture it on camera! The movie is adorable and the car is a blast!!

really....I have been trying to think about stuff to post about the past couple of days and have come up with nothing. Christmas is in a couple of weeks. I have bought a total of 3 Christmas presents. I have to still buy all of Greyson's stuff, something for my Mom, Tavia, the DR's I work for, my boss, and I think that's it. I love Christmas but it's hard to find the right present sometimes. Then I feel forced to just pick something out. It's about 25 degrees outside right now and I can't stand it. Brrrrrrr. Next Wednesday my work is having our Christmas dinner at Brios. I love our Christmas dinners every year. We have so much fun every time. We went to Maggiano's two of the years I have been there and OMG, their food is amazing! Soon it will be 2009 and we have no plans for that so far. We usually don't until the last minute really. What will you be doing on New Years?

I know it's time for it to get cooler, but it always shocks me when it does. A couple days ago it was 75 degrees and today it's in the 30's. I had to get our coats out. I realize it's November and it's supposed to be cold like this, but I think we got pretty lucky this year and it stayed nicer longer. So on cold days what do you do? Sit in the house with comfy clothes on and take pictures. I took some pictures of Greyson after he fell asleep. I love looking at him so peaceful. I know he's not into anything. Notice he still has the baby fat roll on his thighs. I will be sad when he grows out of that. I still love his feet just as much as I did when he was a little baby.

Did you figure it out? If not I am talking about Greyson's binky. At his two year check up I asked his pediatrician if she had any ideas for us successfully getting it away from him. She recommended two things, taking it away cold turkey and also cutting the tip off slowly. I tried the second one about a month ago. He threw his binky on the floor when he was mad at me and it went behind him in his highchair. So, I took it and cut a little off the top and gave it to him. I told him he broke it when he threw it and that went over like a fart in church. He told me no, and that he wanted "other one". So, we are back to square one. If you have any suggestions for us to try, please let us know. People are starting to stare at him. I fear I will be in the store with him at the age of 14 with this thing still hanging out of his mouth! Now that's a scary thought.

I wish I could throw the rest of the candy away. Greyson is constantly asking for a sucker. If I say no, he throws a fit until he gets it. I am trying not to give in. I at least make him say please. But, I can't wait until it's all gone. To make sure he didn't ask for it, I threw all the chocolate away...yeah right I ate it. With young kids, how do you keep this crap away from them? Or keep it at a minimum. He doesn't understand too much sweets.

We had a very good time trick or treating. I was really worried Grey wouldn't do too well because he is terrified of all things monster/scary. He surprised us and did very well with it. My cousin's little boy, Diego was the Scream character. At first Grey did just that..screamed at him, haha. But, as the night went on, he did great. He walked proudly up to those doors and said "Trick or Treat". My sister and niece came over all dressed up. Tami, my sister, is such a cool mom! She dresses up every year. This year she was one of the girls from Little House On the Prairie. It was awesome. I made buffalo chicken dip, chili, lil smokies and also some hot dogs for chili dogs. I had to take a picture of them in the pan. I looked down and noticed it looked like a hand in there. Pretty freaky on Halloween night, we all got a kick out of that. It was a little better but I couldn't find my camera. That's my life. Daddy stayed home and handed out candy while we loaded our bags with it. All in all it was so much fun!!!

I just found out yesterday that Greyson is afraid of our neighbors blow up cat in their yard. Every morning when we get in the car, Greyson says, "There's Henry!" I have been clueless, and just say, "Yep, now let's get in the car." I never knew what or who he was talking about. A couple of days later Carlos and Greyson are outside and I hear Greyson saying something, but not really sure what he is talking about. He was kicking his leg up in the air like he was kicking someone. Well come to find out, Greyson and Daddy were talking about what Daddy was gonna do to Henry. Henry is what they named him for some strange reason??? But here is what Greyson is saying about it...

I am sitting here listening to Greyson scream his head off in his room. Since he was 3 months Greyson has fallen asleep all on his own in his OWN bed...in his OWN room. But the last month or so, Carlos has been taking Greyson to bed with him because he wants to be close to him after working a long day and not spending time with him. Well, the first two nights I was OK with it. But, now I am not OK with it. He will no longer go to bed in his own room. He wants to go ny-night with Daddy. Carlos is sleeping soundly while I am making Greyson cry it out in his own bed. I shouldn't be doing this at 2 yrs old. I know I sound aggravated, I am...but I am trying not to be. I just went in there and his face is beat red, he's jumping up and down and he's dripping in sweat....awwwww. I rocked him to sleep and just when I thought he was sleeping soundly I put him in his bed. He woke up screaming yanking on my shirt. I left the room and he finally fell asleep. I hope this doesn't last long.

On a lighter note, I gave Grey some oreo pudding after dinner last night. I'd say he did a perfect job at giving himself a pudding beard, huh?

Today was 66 degrees, sunny and really windy. There was a definite chill in the air, but it felt very refreshing. I got off at 11:30 today and decided to call my great friend Angie from high school up and ask her to go to Pumpkins Galore with the kids. There were so many things for kids to do! I never remember getting to do anything like this when I was young. They got to play in a bouncy house and a huge sand box. There was round, metal pools filled with lots of corn to play in. They had a great time in there. They got to feed the goats. They were a little scared. The food came in an ice cream cone. Those goats were real good at just taking the whole cone from you. They weren't waiting around for us to get the corn mixture out of them...haha. Greyson just stared at them like what the heck is that? Austin (Angie's youngest) and Greyson get along so well. They were in this Fisher Price house pretend cooking for about 30 minutes. I had to peel Greyson out of there. I really need to get one of those. Too bad they are like $250.00. When we got home I put some fall decorations up and lit some of my spice candles..yum. Here are some pictures, of course. I hope everyone has a great October! Welcome Fall! So, today Carlos was off work because it's been raining so hard from this hurricane. He tells me Greyson can stay home with him. I was happy about that. I got to spend an extra minute on the computer checking my emails this morning. As the day goes on, I call a couple of times and see what they are doing. One time they were napping, one time they were eating..or two times they were eating. Anyway, I get home from work and I look at Greyson and about fell on the floor. I've been telling Carlos that Greyson needs another haircut. Well, Daddy took it upon himself to cut it. I have to admit he did a pretty good job. Carlos has never had a haircut by anyone but himself. He cuts his own hair, his brother's hair, and his friend's hair. I never thought Greyson would sit still long enough for him to cut it. He gave him a buzz with a little bit longer bangs. Carlos put some gel in it. Yeah, I am not going to be putting gel in a two year olds hair every morning. He barely lets me change his diaper in the morning he's so tired, let alone put gel in his hair. Oh boy. It is really cute, but his little ears are even bigger.....So here are some pictures. The only way I could get a side picture was by telling him to kiss the cereal box. What do you think? I have a feeling Daddy isn't gonna let me spend $12.00 on a haircut anymore.

I woke up this morning and could barely make it to the bathroom in time. I could feel the "stuff" gushing out. As soon as I got to toilet I knew it was what was needing to pass. I actually looked at it...ewww. But I had to. After that happened, I was in severe pain. It was so bad I called the DR on call. She called me in a pain medicine and said the cramping should really lighten up. Well, it didn't, it just kept getting more severe and painful. I was so clammy feeling and couldn't make myself comfortable any way. My Mom came over with breakfast and I had to leave her in the kitchen and go lay down. I laid down for a couple of hours and didn't fall asleep once. She went home and told me to call her if I needed to. It hurt so bad, all the cramping. So, finally I called my Mom and asked her to take me to the ER. She came over and brought me right away. I sat in the waiting area sweating my ass off and feeling sick from the pain for about 40 minutes. I felt they weren't taking me serious enough, but I finally got in. After I got in the room I sat in there for another 2 hours uncomfortable and restless, asking for pain medicine. When the DR finally got in there he did a pelvic exam which made it worse and then he said he was gonna have the on call DR come in and give me a D&C and I would be admitted over night. So, Mom called my boss to tell her what was going on. I finally got some Dilotin, not sure if I spelled that right or not. It made me feel better instantly. But that lasted only about an hour. He said it was a short acting drug...gee thanks....Then the DR came back in and told me that he wanted me to wait to see my OB tomorrow. So things changed so fast. I don't know if it's because it's the holiday weekend and no one wanted to come in? I was at a hospital that my OB didn't go to, but still, someone could have come in. So, tomorrow I will be going to see my OB. I feel like I have already passed everything. Now I am just doing some really heavy bleeding and cramping. He sent me home with some extra strength Vicodin. It isn't very strong at all, but I am scared to take more than it says. Anyway, that's what is going on with me. I am going back to bed hoping when I wake up the cramps will have lessened......ugh...this has been so terrifying. I have felt like I was dying today! Seriously...

Stupidest mistake I've ever made!

I am such an idiot I could shoot myself. Today I get something in the mail from the loan company for my new car. I was thinking maybe it was a check, that's what it looked like, haha. Instead it was a LATE NOTICE telling me that I didn't make my payment this month. I was looking at it thinking OH YES I DID!!! So I raced into the house and looked at my statement online. I see the payment, it was cashed on 8-13. So, I was like, yeah that's what I thought! So, I call the loan company and leave a message because they are already gone. I was like, "Hi, I received a late notice from you guys and on my bank statement it shows you cashed my check on 8-13." So, I began reading them everything on the check.."pay to the order of bla bla bla, for the amount of....wait a minute, I just said pay to the order of bla bla bla.....that's who my last car loan was through!!" "OMG!!!!! I paid the old loan company." My car has been paid off with them, my account is closed!!! HOLY SH%T. So, I call the place I DID PAY on accident and explain to the girl the problem and she said it's gonna take 21 business days before they will mail me a check. I am freaking out here. Who has an extra $421.00 to make a double payment because the first one went to the wrong person????? I am so pi$$ed at myself right now. I hope this doesn't show up as a late payment on my credit report!!!!!

I went to the OB today and he said if I don't miscarry on my own by Monday he will do a D&C on me next week. I am extremely afraid of ansthesia or gas. I am very very scared of it. So, please pray that this pregnancy will miscarry on it's own before then. Thank you so much!

My HcG level dropped a lot since Thursday.

Well I had more blood drawn today. Since Friday my HcG went from 36,000 to 25,000. I put a call into my OB to tell him this and he isn't there today. I am so ready for all of this to be over with. I am sick of dragging it out and having false hopes. And once your HcG starts dropping you pretty much know somethings not right. I just wish I would start miscarrying already. I can't stand this anymore. My high risk Dr is the one that has done the ultrasounds and the blood levels. Time for my OB to step in here and make a call. Ugh, makes me sick. Let's get this over with.

Baby boy stop growing up so fast..

As I sit here in tears I can't believe my baby boy is turning two tomorrow. It just floors me at how fast his little life is going. We had his birthday party yesterday at Playtime Party Center in Wentzville. It turned out to be a blast. Greyson got to put his handprint on the wall in his party room with his name. That was super cute. They had pizza, cake, ice cream, soda and lots of fun playing the games and riding the rides. Greyson was getting sick of not being able to get the skeeball balls in, so he took matters into his own hands. Then Austin followed. When it was time for Henry the Hippo to come into the room, Greyson started screaming and backing away, so I got no pictures of them together,awww. We had a great day, he got some wonderful presents from everyone. Our house was a disaster when we started opening everything up!

I took the day off tomorrow, Monday to spend with Greyson. I just wanna love on him so much. I know some day he won't want me squeezing on him so tight. OK, I'm crying.

One of my friends sent me a link to a website for misdiagnosed miscarriages. There are women on there that went through the same thing as me, tilted uterus, sac growing and not able to see the baby. But, at about 9-10 weeks they are able to see the baby. So, I am not getting excited nor sad. Just riding it out. In 2 weeks if nothing has changed then we will be 100% sure it's not gonna work! Thank you all for your support!

I went today for my 2nd ultrasound expecting to see a heartbeat. The sac had gotten bigger but still nothing in it. The Dr said he couldn't get a clear view but he doesn't think it looks viable. Today I should be about 7 weeks 5 days. So, I am just waiting till something happens. He is having me come back in 2 weeks for another u/s which at that time he will be able to make a clear call on it. So, here I wait another 2 friggin weeks.

I had my ultrasound today and I was a little concerned but I know it's all in God's hands. At first the tech had a hard time with the vaginal ultrasound. I told her my uterus is tilted so she tried it the normal way on the belly. She did find the sac and I am measuring at 6 weeks and 3 days. That's about a week different than I thought. I was hoping to hear a heartbeat but it was just the sac. So, I have to go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound. Hopefully then there will be a fetal pole and a heartbeat. I did get a picture of the ultrasound, but you don't wanna see it. It's so teeny tiny. She had a hard time finding that. Maybe I should lose some weight, then she'd have found it easier...don't get me started. Anyway, I will let you all know in 2 weeks. Obviously if there isn't a fetal pole then, it's not a good pregnancy. So, we shall see. This happened with Greyson too, so that's why I am not going to get upset about it. Have a great weekend.

This Thursday I am going to have my first ultrasound. I am thinking really positive about it. I have so many pregnancy symptoms, it's hard to think anything isn't right. I swear I am feeling little pings in my stomach, but it's too early. You never know though. I am really hoping it's a girl this time around. So think pink, pink, pink.

Here are some new pics. Daddy decided to take a nap in Greyson's room on the floor with him. I went in there to see what was taking Carlos so long to come back out of there, and there they were sleeping. So sweet! I think their nap was like 3 hours.

What's been going on with me

I just thought I would let you know what's been going on with me. Today I am a little over 6 weeks pregnant. Last Thursday I went and had my first blood work up for the pregnancy to see where I stand with everything. This will probably sound like a foreign language but here goes. My HCG level was 257 and my Progesterone was 6.9. Dr wanted my Progesterone to be higher than that. Progesterone is a very important thing in the first trimester. So, he started me on Prometrium which is for just that. This really got me down and scared. I had to go have more blood work done. They wanted my HCG to be doubled from 257. So yesterday I called to get my results almost sick to my stomach not knowing what they were gonna tell me. They had to call me back because they had to call the lab to get the results, they knew I wanted them like NOW, LOL. So, about 15 minutes later I get a call from my DR himself. I was thinking it must not be good if they had him call me back. But to my surprise my HCG more than doubled. It went from 257 to 1190!!!! I was so happy to get that news!

Greyson will be 2 in 3 weeks and I can't believe it. I think we are just gonna do the Chuck E. Cheese thing. He will love it there. Anyway, that's all for now! Just wanted to let everyone know where things are! Oh yeah, I almost forgot I have been blessed with a case of pregnancy vertigo. I had it with Greyson too, but this time seems worse and is lasting longer. It's hard to work like that. But, it will all be worth it in the end!

Went to the OB today

Today I went to the Dr. and had blood drawn to check lots of things like my progesterone and other levels. Please keep me in your prayers that everything looks good and nothing to worry about! Still feeling good besides the mood swings or should I call them mood snaps. Poor Greyson, awwww.
