Missouri's weather is the best...

Not really though. This morning it was 70 degrees and when I got out of work it was 23...and now it's 14..Holy hell! It is soooo cold out. The wind feels like it's going 125 miles per hour. I felt like my car was going to blow off the road and I was gonna be up in the clouds next to the cows floating around up there....GEEZ!

Nothing really going on

I guess that's a good thing really! My Gramma is doing really well in the nursing home. They say she will get to go home once they think she's physically able to. The other day she walked 35 feet! So, she's doing really well.

Greyson is getting a mind of his own..saying all kinds of things like puppy, please, mommy, daddy, Kylie, Devin, ball and so on. He's a smart little guy! Tami is still watching him through the week and he is getting into big puzzles now.

I am exhausted every day now since we moved. I am driving about 100 miles a day back and forth from work, and let me tell you it's taking a toll on me. When I get home I just want to eat supper and go to bed. I'm not thinking we will be living here for too too long. I love it here still, but as the newness wears off I'm sure we'll be closer to St. Peters again.

I wanted to share these hilarious videos with you! They had me rolling!

I love me some jelly and suckers too!

Just thought I would add some fun pics to get away from the Gramma thing lately. These are from 2 different days. The first one is his sucker hair, and the second one is his jelly face.

A new place to live

Today my Mom got a call that the hospital was releasing my Grandma and wanted to put her in a nursing home. WHAT?? She just got out of ICU a few days ago...and she's leaving the hospital already? Boy, they don't mess around. So, today Gramma went to a nursing home. Something we have all dreaded even thinking about the day it would come. How sad, she's going to have a hard time with this, I just know it.
Last night I went to the hospital to visit her by myself. As soon as I got in her room she looked at me and said, "I just wanna make sure that money gets in the bank."
I'm thinking...huh? Then after hearing her say there was smoke in the hallway about 10 times and there were big black bugs on the ceiling, I realized she was hallucinating or her dementia was really taking a turn for the worse all of a sudden. That would be really fast if so. I was feeding her some pureed beef stew..ewwww and mashed potatoes and she said "Watch out now so that doesn't fall on your head." I turned around and I guess she thought the Cardinals balloon she got from someone was going to hit me??? That would be pretty painful. I'm sorry I have to joke about it to keep from crying. I hope my Gramma does well at this nursing home and she impresses the hell out of them. Maybe they'll let her go back home. I know, wishful thinking. I love that woman.

Sunday night update on my Gramma

Wow, what a roller coaster this has been. But the good news is we are going uphill and we are really excited about it. Today my Gramma was taken out of ICU. She is very confused at the moment and is having a hard time remembering things/people but we are very hopeful that she will come around. Today she didn't even know my Mom's name, her own daughter...ouch. They sat and stood her up today in physical therapy. They think she is doing really well for all that she has been through. tomorrow they are going to do a swallow test on her so they can start feeding her again instead of tube feeding. All in all, this has been truly a miracle watching her basically lifeless to now trying to talk again and laughing. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us. It means so much. My family knows that's what is helping her and giving her the strength she needs!

Please pray hard.......

Update again....sad to say it's not good news about my Gram. Today she took a turn for the worse and can't talk. She is in and out of sleep and it's not b/c of pain meds, it's from the brain injury from the fall. We are not giving up on her! She is a strong woman. They did a CT scan and aren't ruling out a stroke right now. Poor thing, it's horrible. I see her try to talk but she can't stay awake long enough nor get the words out. Please pray that we won't be planning for a funeral but rather taking her home. Thanks everyone!

Haven't updated

Sorry, I know I haven't been very good with updating but things have been a little hectic. Here's what's going on now.Tonight my 83 yr old Grandma was walking home from Dollar General and fell. She has a broken hip, broken shoulder and a huge clot on her head. She has blood on her brain. They want to do surgery but have to wait to get her stable enough first. They had to transfer her from one hospital to another because they didn't have a neurosurgeon. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it you guys! I will update as soon as I can.
